thanks Kim for the great web page. Very outspoken and to the point. I also have contacted Avon in the past concerning a web page. Maybe now with letting us use the internet to send order they will see just how many rep. are "on-line" . Good Luck!!!!!
Hello. 1-19-99
I have been an avon rep for over 10 years and I
see many changes in the company I don't necessarily
agree with.
The company sent my mother, who was on my brochure by mail list, a magazine with sales in it not available through me! I was very disenchanted and didn't get any of the sale. So they got my mother's address through me and then used it for themselves. That sucked. I believe the web is supposed to be available for all, and that if you want a website that you should be able to have one.
The more I sell avon the more it is costing me.
Hugs, Annette
I thought I would let you know that a few years back, my manager told me, a president's club member since I started in Oct 1986, had to stop selling at swap meets, stop advertising without it saying "indep. rep", and stop bringing back returns for other reps. I consulted my husband's uncle, who is a lawyer, who said I am an independent rep and that they can't force me to stop. They cannot change my agreement that I signed when I became a rep after the fact. So, I do my own thing. I am getting fed up with Avon too. They want us to sell, but then they mail catalogs on their own to different areas and take our business out from under our noses. I can't even get close to honor society anymore. Tell Mary Ann Weiss that as in independent rep, they cannot control you-only they can sell you the products at the agreed upon prices. They don't even stop reps who sell their stuff in stores, but they bother you?? They are ridiculous!! Keep me posted! Gail Neuman in Calif.
hello, i just recently became a rep for avon. and i was told the same
thing by my manager and i have been working on my sita as well. plus on
a program for costomers to order avon with.. and i spend days and days
putting up my site and i am not stopong eighter.. good luck..
you know AVON says by putting up your own site takes away costomers for
others.. well by puttong up there site it does the same thing.. and any
way i would only sell to those here in minnesota and proved the others
with a rep in there area...so i really am not stealing any bussiness..
any way i hope eveything goes good for you

Hi! I read your website and your ongoing struggle with Avon. I am also
interested in getting a webpage and have been wondering why we are not
allowed to do so. It is so unfair that the company can do it and we
can't. Please let me know the result of your inquiry. I wish you luck.
Please reply.
Thank you.
Hello,
I am an AVON Rep. in Florida, and was also interested in setting up a web
page, but not after reading about your situation.
If AVON doesn't wake up soon they are going to loose a lot of Reps. They need to realize that if it weren't for their Reps. they would not have a business!!
I wish you the best of luck in your endeavor and I will continue to review your web page for further updates.
I was planning on setting up a website for my Avon selling when I came across your page. I noticed the date on it was for July of 1997 and was wondering if there have been any changes in Avon policy regarding the webpages for individual representatives.
Any information you could give me on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Sincerly

Hi, my name is Sharon Tepe, and I am an independent sales rep. I have been told my Avon headquarters that doing an internet site is prohibited in their advertising policy and procedures. Has anyone given you any problem with this? I asked my District Sales manager about this and she didn't see any problem; however, she is checking into it further.
I really appreciate any help that you could give me in this matter.

Hi Beth!
I was so excited to see that some sister reps had branched out onto the
net! I joined with the company only 2 campaigns ago, and thought, "what
a wonderful idea!" I have 2 young children, and a website would have
been perfect! UNTIL...I read what the corporation is doing! Don't they
realize that the net would open up a world of opportunity?? They try and
tell you how much they can do for you as a rep, and then proceed to stop
what could be a boom in sales for them! I for one hope that the company
sees their way to make the opportunity for selling easier for those of
us who can't go door to door, or sit all day on a phone. I wholly agree
with those who say "Wake up AVON! The net is one of the largest
opportunities for advertising!" Hang in there Beth...you have a lot of
sisters standing by you!

Hi. I, too am a AVON independent sales rep. I see that the page on what is going on with you has not been updated this year. how is that going?
Have you heard about the new Synerge Prgram? I wrote to Avon about the program but have not gotten a response yet. I heard about it on another site called NotAvon. They mention about a web site that has its own direct link to Avon. I really think this site is for you. Let me what you think.
Hi,
I read your whole artical on having website for avon representive. I
am avon representive. I was thinking to have my own site and I came
across your site during surfing on avon products. I really admire your
gurds, and I am with you. Even I voted to have website.

Thanks for fighting for us. I guess each and every rep. with you
and must be thanking for what you doing for them.
Thanks
sejal
Please tell me if a final decision has been made on web pages, I am an AVON rep in rural missouri. I support your endeavors. thanks.
Hey girl,
I just had to forward this one to you. Talk about total B.S.!!! I wrote "Ask Avon" about the "Brochure-by-Mail"
program. I found out recently that AVON is mailing brochures directly to people from a "purchased mailing list".
The customers are then ordering directly thru AVON and bypassing the reps altogether. This brochure offers
customers "special" deals that we, as reps, cannot offer them. It is NOT the same "brochure-by-mail" program
that WE send to our customers. This mailing procedure by AVON is a "hot" topic on the Avon Rep Bulletin
Board. I wrote to AVON trying to get some answers. As you can see, they refused to answer my e-mail and
directed me to call the customer service number. What really got me was the statement that "Ask Avon" only
handles product information. THAT'S what is total B.S. Remember all the e- mail they sent me regarding web
sites being against their policy!!!
THIS REALLY STINKS!!!

Dear Beth, I am a Canadian Avon Representative. In Canada, we are not allowed to sell Avon over the internet. I would like to know if Avon reps in the U.S.A. are allowed to sell their products over the net. Thank you.
p.s. My opinion regarding this matter is that all reps everywhere should be allowed to have their own websites.
Dear sister rep.
I feel as Avon does that all people should have easy access to our
wonderful line of products. There will always be a need for the personal
direct salesperson, however, there are remote areas that are not being
served by AVON in any way.
Avon does direct mail. Loyal Avon customers buy directly through Avon through the mail and are paying big money for shipping and handling. This helps Avon and doesn't support we reps.
Your website is terrific. I'm looking foreward to my own website. It's a little early now as I just upgraded from my horse and buggy 286 clone to this Pentium with Windows. I have a long way to go. Your website is a big encouragement.
Happy Sales to You!! BZZZ
....please don't give up. You guys are the life blood to Avon, they can't do it without you. Just hang in there, and eventually they will come around.
Hi! I just returned to Avon after taking a hiatis for 2 years. I, like you love selling Avon and the opportunities that Avon offers. However, I do feel that Avon needs to make a decision about the use of the websites; one way or the other. Can't we, as Independent Avon Representatives, use just about other medians of advertising (with approval)? Avon needs to wake up. We will soon be entering a new millenium (SP); the Internet will soon be the only way to advertise. Look at the numbers of Internet users daily. Look at how many people from across the USA we can reach via the Internet. You couldn't do that very well with conventional methods of advertising. I certainly cast my vote as a resounding YES. Now we just
